The super eagle of Nigeria have successfully qualified and found themselves among the team that will participate in the 2022 African Cup of Nation regardless of the outcome of today’s match result
The super eagle’s qualify followed the goalless drawn played between Lesotho and Lone start of Sierra Leone at Setsoto Stadium, Maseru.
The drawn encounter means Nigeria will finish top two in Group L regardless of the outcomes in their last two matches of the group.
It hands the Super Eagles an unassailable four-point lead and with their game in hand at Benin set to kick of later today.
Nigeria will now participate in the 19th AFCON which was scheduled to take place on January 2022 at Cameron
The now 2022 AFCON suppose to take place this year, June and July 2021, but the CAF announced on 15 January 2020 that due to unfavourable climatic conditions during this period, the tournament would take place between 9 January and 6 February 2021.
