The Federal Government of Nigeria on Monday raises alarm over the racketeering of COVID-19 Vaccine in the country
This was disclosed by the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health, Abdullazzi Abdullahi while in jimt national briefing of presidential tasks force (PTF) where he alleged that some people have started selling their COVID-19 slot for vaccination
Abdullah assure that all Nigerian will be vaccinated regardless of their status and urge people buying and selling such slot to stop
He added that the FG will maintain their level of for easy and quick detect of new cases of the virus
“Everyone will be vaccinated free and everyone will eventually be vaccinated. There is no need to pay to be vaccinated.
“We are sustaining distribution of available commodities, PPEs and consumables to ensure availability at all times for end users at treatment centres.”
Yesterday, Nigeria center for disease control NCDC continue to record it low daily cases with 131 fresh cases of Covid-19, reported yesterday from 14 states and the federal capital territory Abuja.
According to late night tweet from the agency verified Twitter handle, Lagos, the epic center of the virus lead with 24 cases, River state with 12 and Kaduna state with 11 followed by Plateau state with 9 new cases other states are :

Meanwhile, two vaccine out of numerous being developed in Nigeria have found their way and awaiting clinical trial and certification
Secretary to the government of the federation, Boss Mustapha said this while addressing the newsmen in PTF briefing on Monday
Mustapha described it as a welcome development and a good way to encourage medical researcher in the country also will boost moral and image of medical industry in the country
“The disclosure that Nigerian scientists have produced at least two local COVID-19 vaccines which are awaiting clinical trials and certification is significant.
“This is a welcome development that will open a new vista in scientific breakthrough and will boost the morale and image of the medical industry in the country.
“I call on all relevant agencies to provide the required support and enabling environment for smooth conduct of the remaining protocols for the certification of these vaccines with a view to encouraging and motivating other researchers.”
