Sit-at-home order: Enugu state residents complied with IPOB order despite warning from Police

Residents of Enugu state also complied with the sit-at-home order issued by members of the Indigenous People of Biafra IPOB.

Its would be recalled, when the secessionist last week announced a total lockdown in the South East every Monday, beginning from today August 9, to protest the detention of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

 The group continue to issue a statement yesterday, August, 9th despite several warning from Anambra state police command.

The statement by its Director of Media and Publicity, Emma Powerful on Sunday, August 8, 2021, the group said, ‘all residents and visitors in Biafra land are advised to comply with the order’.

While observing some town in the state, Some of the Enugu residents say they had no choice than to comply with the directive as they fear they might be attacked by members of the group who might see them running their businesses.
