Organised Labour staged massive protest to kick against a bill about Minimum Wage


The Nigeria Labour Congress NLC join force with other affiliate organised Labour to to staged massive protest are currently on their way to NAS complex in Abuja


It was gathered that the protest was to voiced out against and call for withdrawal of a bill raised in House of assembly which will remove the National Minimum wage form exclusive to the concurrent legislature list

Few weeks ago the National House of Representatives proposed the bill which according to the sponsor, Garba Mohammed (APC Kano), would allow both the federal and state governments to freely negotiate minimum wage with their workers ” in line with our federalism.” a bill which the NLC and other Organised Labour frowned against and demand immediate withdrawal of the bill


The protester was seen with different placard contain different content to express their grievances and was said to match to the National Assembly Complex in Abuja which has caused traffic congestion and delayed movement of people
