No fewer than 70,000 WAEC candidates have yet to receive their result due to inability to pay Reg. Fee


The West African Examination Council WAEC has yet to release the result of 70,000 candidates who sat for the October/November 2020 exam in Kank state


According to the source, the result of 70,000 candidates sponsored by the Kano state government was still in pending due to inability of the state government to pay for the registration fee of the candidates


Recall on January 2021, WAEC released the result of 1,209,992 candidates out of 1,549,740 registered candidate where 894,101 obtain credits in English and Mathematics


However, WAEC has yet to release the result of candidates sponsored by the Kano state government but have release result of private candidate on the same state


According to punch correspondent who speak with a source from NECO headquarters, he said the result of private candidate in the state has been released except sponsored candidate

Meanwhile, the issue have raises concern among parents, guidance and other Nigerian which did not exclude those candidates who might have plan on using the result for admission or other purposes but have challenged
The state government have yet to clear the air about the issue
