The national examination council NECO has announced Monday, February 1st as the official date for commencement of supplementary exam that will be conducted for candidates that missed one or two papers due to Endsars protests that takes place nationwide in the recent year.
Yesterday, NECO released 2020 SSCE results which was conducted amid covid-19 pandemic and endsars protests
NECO Registrar/Chief executive officer professor Godswill Obioma gave the breakdown while addressing newsmen at Neco headquarters minna, he said out of 1,209,992 candidates that successfully turned up and sit for their exam, 233,000 candidates were delayed or missed some of their paper and he added that the agency will accommodate those candidates in the forthcoming external examination schedule for Monday, February 1st and will end on Wednesday 3rd 2021
The state affected are Kano, Osun, Enugu, Ondo, Ogun, Edo, Ekiti, Lagos Oyo and Federal capital territory Abuja.
And affected subjects include Food Nutrition, Further Mathematics, Chemistry practical Economics and Technological Drawing
The registrar also noted that the affected candidates’ results will be in pending until the supplementary exam were successfully conducted for the missed papers.
