Mass protest in Enugu as the clergyman, Father Mbaka allegedly went Missing | DSS says “Not in our custody”

Mass protest has erupted Enugu state capital followingg the unconfirmed report of The well known clergyman, Father Mbaka who was said went missing and all effort to contact him remains futile

According to some social media users, the cleric’s whereabout is not known at the moment.

It would be recalled, There has been a face off between Father Mbaka and the Federal Government as the clergyman dragged FG over the rising of security challenges in the country.

Mbaka, who supported the President Muhammadu Buhari during the 2015 and 2019 elections recently made a U-turn, asking Buhari to resign or be impeached for not doing enough to tackle widespread insecurity in the country.

Meanwhile, the Ohanaeze Youth Congress has also given the federal government 48 hours to ”produce” the Enugu-based Catholic priest who called for the President’s impeachment or resignation days ago over insecurity. 

The President-General of OYC, Mazi Okwu Nnabuike in a statement made available to Tribune on Wednesday May 5 said Mbaka was last seen on Tuesday May 4, and that efforts to locate him had failed.

The Department of State Services, however, says the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu Nigeria, Rev. Fr. Ejike Mbaka, is not in their custody.

Speaking with Punch news correspondent on Wednesday May 5th, Spokesperson for DSS, Peter Afunnaya, made it known that

“He (Mbaka) is not with the DSS, please,” Afunnaya wrote
