#June12Protest: Police fired tears gas on protesters as Nigerian youth stormed street to express their grievances on Democracy day

As already planned by some Nigerian youth to staged a mass protest on June 12 which was assigned to celebrates Democracy in the country

Many youth stormed the street today demanding an end to bad governance and insecurity being witnessed in the entire country

Several digital flyers, widely circulated on social media on Friday, and gathering location has already being publicised in Lagos, Gombe, Calabar (Cross River), Yola (Adamawa), Bauchi, Abeokuta (Ogun), Yenagoa (Bayelsa), Port Harcourt (Rivers), Ibadan (Oyo), Ilorin (Kwara), Enugu, Akure (Ondo), Yobe, and Zaria (Kaduna).

In Lagos state, Men of the Lagos State Police Command on Saturday morning fired tear gas canisters at the protesters gathered at the Gani Fawehinmi Park in Lagos, venue of the June 12 Democracy Day protest.

In FCT Abuja, Some Nigerians also staged a June 12 protest. The protesters are led by activist, Deji Adeyanju.

On the contrary scene, A group of Nigerians filed out in Abuja to stage an ”IstandwithBuhari” protest to celebrate Democracy day today June 12 and give kudos to his administration which according to them has been awesome

Meanwhile, Governor Sheyi Makinde of Oyo state joined protester protesting in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
