House of Rep Faulted FG’s school resumption date seek 3 months postponement
The federal House of Representatives have opposed the January 18th 2021 official resumption date directed by federal government
In a statement released by the chairman house committee on basic education and services, professor Julius Ihonvbere on behalf of the committee titled “School resumption: Are we truly prepared?” said Federal Government did not consult all relevant stakeholders in education sector contrary to their claim of reaching a consensus with all stakeholders including committee of house of representatives before conclude on January 18
He stressed that why schools will be reopen when necessary safety measures to observe all Covid-19 guideline are not put in place, the house committee on basic education and service therefore demand postponement of resumption date for three months
