The Nigerian super star singer, Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu well know as Burna boy has publicly reaffirmed the Awards he won in the recent 63rd Grammy Awards for “Best Music album” Category with his latest album “Twice as tall” on March 14
While speaking in an interview with BBC, he said with confident that he deserve the award and he felt very relieve after gaining a victory
“I felt very relieved, a lot of relief because I deserved it,” Burna Boy says straight-faced in an interview with the BBC. “So if I didn’t get it when I was hoping, a situation wouldn’t happen where it’s like I wouldn’t get what I deserve again, you know?”
“It’s bigger than me and that’s when it kind of hit me that this is not a hobby anymore, you used to do this on the streets and everyone would be going crazy, but now I don’t see anyone better than you so it’s like this is serious now,” he says.
It would be recalled that Burna boy was also nominated in the 2019 award which he missed out on winning the award.
Meanwhile, the singer release another video from his latest album “Twice as tall” which is a follow-up to “Onyeka”
He said that the music was highly inspired by the legend American basketball player, Michael Jordan
