Former Juventus coach and a former player advice to offload Ronaldo

Former Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri had suggested to the President of Juventus, Andrea Agnelli to get rid of Cristiano Ronaldo.

According to Allegri, he said the Portugal international was hindering the team’s growth also Former Juventus midfielder, Massimo Mauro has claimed the time has come for the club to offload “individualist” Cristiano Ronaldo this summer, saying the Portuguese superstar “has never been a leader and never will be”.

Juventus signed Ronaldo in the summer of 2018, as the five-time Ballon d’Or winner called time on a record-breaking spell at Real Madrid in order to take on a new challenge in Italy.

 Ronaldo’s future in Turin is starting to emerge after Juventus failed in the Champions League. Andrea Pirlo’s men were eliminated in the round 16 big deal from Porto. Speculation regarding Ronaldo’s return to Real Madrid had surfaced.

However, Ronaldo is now approaching the final 12 months of his contract and with Champions league glory and league glory looking impossible this season. Ronaldo has seemed frustrated this season  in Andrea Pirlo’s squad.

Denouncing the Portuguese star, Allegri said on Tuesday

Meanwhile, Criticizing Ronaldo’s influence at Juve, Mauro told Gazzetta dello Sport: “Ronaldo has never been a leader where he has played and he never will be. 

“He is like a company and his turnover is more important to him than the success of the team.

“Cristiano doesn’t drag his team-mates along with him, he always wants them to give him the ball to score goals. He is a great individualist, he is not a team player.

“From the point of view of results, Juventus with him did not do better than in the past, they even did worse in the Champions League. That is why the best thing for both of them is that their paths separate.”

Ronaldo has hit 97 goals through 126 appearances at Juventus and has won two Serie A titles.
