FG Extend NIN-SIM registration and Integration for another Eight weeks

The ongoing National identity Number and Sim card integration which was supposed to end on February 9th have been extended for another eight weeks

The deadline which is now shifted to April 6 2021 was made known by Director, Public Affairs of Nigerian Communications Commission, Ikechukwu Adinde who said the extension order was made by the honourable minister of communication and digital economy, Pantami

Pantami said that after reaching a consensus with ministerial task force in a meeting held on February 1, they concluded of extending the NIN and Subscribers identity module integration for another eight weeks

Recall, on December 15th 2020 Federal Government made an announcement that registration for NIN will close on December 30 2020, but follow the wide spread opposition from humongous number of people that are yet to get their NIN, The FG extend the closing date to January 19th 2021 for subscriber with valid NIN and six weeks extension for subscribers without NIN which will end on February 9th added that any subscriber without valid NIN before closing date will be disconnected from service provider
