Federal Government declared 25th and 27th December as public holiday

The Federal Government has declared Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th December 2019 as Public Holidays to mark Christmas and Boxing Day celebrations.

Also, Wednesday 1st January, 2019 has been declared as public holiday for New Year celebration.

In a statement by the Ministry of Interior, the Minister, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, felicitated with “Christians and all Nigerians both at home and abroad on this year’s Christmas and New Year Celebrations.”

He also “enjoined all Christians to live within the virtues and teachings of Jesus Christ, which hinge on compassion, patience, peace, humility, righteousness and love for one another, adding that doing so would guarantee an atmosphere of peace and security in the country.”

The Minister further urged all Nigerians, both at home and abroad, to support the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in its determination in improving the quality of life of Nigerians.
