Emir of Kano Have Been Dethroned by Kano State Government

Emir of kano state , Muhammad Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II has been dethroned by kano state government lead by governor abdullahi ganduje.

The dethronement followed the decision made by kano state council which was announce by Director General  of Media and Communication Kano State Saliu Yakasai via his twitter handle on Monday, and confirmed by the secretary to the state government Alhaji Usman Alhaji where they stated:

“The removal was made after due consultation with relevant stakeholder and in compliance with part 3 section 13 of the Kano State Emirate law 2019 and other reason stated above”

According to the statement made available to the newsmen, its further stated some reasons why the council embark on dethronement that:

 “The Emir of Kano is in total disrespect to lawful instruction from the office of the State Governor and other lawful authorities including his persistence removal to attend official meeting and programme organized by the government without any lawful justification which amount to total insubordination”.

We recall that sanusi lamido ascend the throne of his forefather in 2014 immediately after his suspension by goodluck jonathan when he suspect him for the missing $20bn. He was an economist and banker.
