Burna boy and WizKid bags an award in the 63rd Grammy Awards

Damini Ogulu better know as Burna boy and Wizkid makes history as the two clinched a Grammy Awards after beating out rival in the category

The 63rd Grammy Awardswhoch was originally schedule to take place in January but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic ravaging the world. It’s take place on Sunday at Los Angeles conventional Centre and hosted by the South African – US based comedian, Trevor Noah

Burna boy clinched “Best Global Music Album” which he won with his latest album “Twice As Tall” released in August 2020 where he feature guest appearance, the likes of Naughty by Nature, the Kenyan band, Sauti Sol, Senegal’s musical titan, Youssou N’Dour, and Chris Martin of Coldplay.

Grammy said his albums is well deserve such prestigious award with his outstanding performances which made him an international musical force

While receiving the award, the singer said

“Yes oh! Yes oh! Yes oh! Africa is in the House men! Africa, we are in the House!

“This is a big win for my generation of Africans all over the world!

“And this should be a lesson to every African out there: No matter where you are, no matter what you plan to do, you can achieve it.”

Meanwhile, Wizkid also bags an award with Beyounce for his performance in the 2019 hit song “Brown Skin Girl”
