Not more than 66 passengers, including some highly-placed Nigerians, narrowly escaped death after an aircraft belonging to Air Peace crashed around 10.30am on Friday morning upon landing in Ilorin from Abuja.
According to punch news report, the plane crashes as a result of one of the plane’s tyres that blew off after landing at the Ilorin Airport in Kwara State which affected the cabin with luggage falling on passengers. It was gathered with the impact of the crash, the plane could not taxi to the tarmac.
The spokesperson for Air Peace, Stanley Olise, confirmed the incident to the newsmen and further said that “as we speak, the tyre has been fixed and the aircraft has been moved from the runway.”
